The Sugar Path is a bakery specializing in stylish sweets. We handcraft our pastries and desserts using a smallbatch method using the finest ingredients. Our retail shop in downtown Geneva, Illinois features a rotating menu of Cakes, Pies, Cupcakes, Cookies, Do-Cups, morning pastries and more. Who doesn't love pie?  In our family it was a time-honored tradition to make pie for family gatherings.  Pie is the type of dessert that causes people to put their busy lives on pause; to sit down at the table and linger over it with a steaming mug of coffee; to strike up family conversations.  We love pie for so many reasons. . .let our pies become a part of your family traditions too.


We know you love pie and have your favorites. . .we do too.  Unfortunately we have a small kitchen and storage space and cannot stock all the ingredients necessary for every single pie flavor.  The menu on this page represents the pies that can be ordered with 48 hours notice.  If you need pie for a special event or large order--please contact us.  We also ship pie if you are interested in gifting!



The pies on our monthly menu are the flavors we offer in the shop during that month.  These, along with our Signature flavors are the only ones that can be ordered during that month.  Monthly flavors and Signature flavors can all be ordered online.  


We only make whole pies during the week for orders. We have extras in the shop on Saturdays. To ensure you get a pie, simply place an order with 48 hours notice. We have brought back pie slices available on a first come basis as well.

For the Christmas holiday we will do French Silk and Peppermint Pie too! Pre-orders are suggested and can be placed on this website to reserve your pie. We will only offer French Silk and Peppermint on December 22, 23 and 24.


Make pie at home. . .

Pie means home to us. We love hearing how we inspire our customers to bake their own creations at home. The one thing we hear time after time is that making the crust is often the hurdle that keeps you from baking your own pies.

We're here to help! You can now purchase pie dough, formed pie crusts and take n bake items from our freezer! So get out those rolling pins, roll up those sleeves and start throwing a little flour around the kitchen!

Fruit Pies

We bake seasonal using fresh fruit, never canned.  We source fruit from farmers and vendors that we know.  Because of this, our supply of fruit pies is based on the fruit available to us in season.  For fruit pie availability, please call the shop.  Here's a general guideline as to what's in season in Illinois that we bake with:

Spring and Summer:  Strawberries, Rhubarb, Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Cherries, Peaches, Nectarines, Plums, Apricots, 

Fall and Winter:  Apples, Pears, Figs, Cranberries, 


Mini and Individual Size Pies

We bake mini pies (5 inches, perfect for sharing) and individual sized pies (perfect for events).  These sizes are custom order with a minimum order quantity.  Any of our pie flavors are available as mini pies or individual pies.  For mini pies please order in quantities of four, all the same flavor.  For individual pies, please order in quantities of twelve, all the same flavor.  

Mini Cream and Custard Pies. . .$6 -6.50 each

Mini Chocolate and Nut Pies. . .$7 each

Individual Pies (Tiny Tarts). . .$3 .00 -4.00 each

****Tiny Tarts can be bagged individually for an extra  $.25 and sealed with our label or yours.  Ribbon is an extra charge depending on type of ribbon desired.  


Special Requests

We love pie and you can often find unique flavors in our shop weekly.  Our order menu represents the pies most requested by our customers, and streamlines the ingredients we obtain.  If you have special requests (sometimes a family favorite you want us to make for you) please call us to discuss it.    

and a note about our pie crust. . .

We hand craft all of our crusts with real ingredients and do not use lard.  We refer to our crust as the Triple R (Rissa's Ready to Roll) named after our sweet sister Rissa who helps as a baker in our kitchen and spends numerous hours every week making dough for us.  The Triple R can be purchased from us so that you can make your own pie at home.
