Sugar Sister E-Mail Baking Challenge: 4 weeks of Scratch-Baked Cakes

One of the questions we get asked the most is "when is the next class?"  We love teaching but because our bakeshop kitchen is always busy, we don't have the opportunity or space for classes as much as we would like.

One day Sugar Sister Michelle made a trip to the grocery store and came back frustrated and said to Sugar Sister Nina, "I don't understand why people buy boxed mixes when all it is are ingredients they have in their own home but with preservatives they don't need."  A lightbulb went off that we just need to teach more about how to make your own scratch made cake!  

This is an email baking challenge class.  Each week for 4 weeks we will drop in your inbox that week's challenge.  You will have 7 days to complete it until the next challenge comes!  If you've always wanted to learn how to make a scratch baked cake, this is a great opportunity to get you motivated and provide you with the instruction to succeed.  

Class starts the first week in January.  Every week for four weeks you will receive an email that will contain:

1.  That week's scratch baked cake challenge

2.  Shopping List.  The first email will talk about staples to always have on hand and that can be purchased in bulk for greater savings.

3.  Tools needed

4.  Ingredients that can be obtained from your local grocery store (You are welcome to substitute with gourmet ingredients or locally sourced farm stand ingredients.  However, this challenge is to teach you to bake with what is easily accessible to everyone in both cost and location and typically that is a grocery store).

5.  Cake recipe and instruction.

6.  Picture of our completed cake made the same way you are making it---in our home kitchen.

7.  Feedback from us on your cake.  Send us a pic or post on our page!  We will provide feedback and guidance.

Weekly e-mail instruction including a recipe weekly (as noted above) for 4 weeks and a new cake challenge.  We'll be posting the challenge pictures on our facebook!  You will also get a discount on the next month's challenge.

When you purchase you will be directed to a form to fill out.  Please include your email where you would like your instructions sent.  If this is a gift, you will be able to download a gift certificate.  Please print it immediately as the download is only available for 24 hours.  Please provide the email of the person who is to receive the instruction as emails will not be able to be forwarded.
